Website design with a focus on creating an online digital repository of journals and specialized sub-websites for each faculty.
In 2010 we started a website design project for Nigeria’s premier University
We had a huge task. To launch a new website within 5 weeks with the basic content required and to populate the website’s database with relevant informative and educational content over the next 12 months all the while increasing visits to over 10,000 hits monthly. Did we deliver? You bet we did!
Web Design Feature
We designed a vibrant website interface that matched the likes of Stanford University’s website
Sub-websites were deployed for over 20 faculties across 3 campuses
We supervised the upload of over 20,000 units of journals to the online repository lodged within the website’s database and server
A massive Search Engine Optimization exercise was carried out
We curated over 1000 High Definition shots of the University
We uploaded photo elements tagged appropriately onto photo sharing platforms
We conducted photoshoots that featured heavily as original content on the website and University presentations
We covered events at the university for 18 months
Digital Marketing Feature
We carried out a campaign that ran for over 10 months.
We created and optimized the University’s Facebook page.
We promoted the University’s Facebook page till it grew to over 20,000 likes
Website visits grew to +225,000 hits monthly and was sustained for over 12 months
Of all the projects we’ve been involved in, the University of Nigeria Website design project has been the one we enjoy talking about.
We gave visitors what they wanted. Many people visit academic websites for specific reasons. We researched these reasons and made sure these pages were designed and that it was easy to reach them.
We engaged key stakeholders and did our utmost to include them in the process. All the documents and content that was required was gathered with the full cooperation of the teams running each department and faculty.
